We Believe

  • Everyone deserves to have their mathematical brilliance recognized and cultivated.

  • Developing habits of mathematical thinking will support and help students flourish not only in school, but in life.

  • It’s time to abolish the phrase “I am not a math person” and discover the inner mathematician in all of us.

  • The world is a better place when we have more creative, thoughtful, mathematical thinkers everywhere.

We Acknowledge and Hope to Heal

  • People who have said the words  “I’m not a math person”.

  • People who believe that you are either born with the ability to do math or you aren’t.

  • People who have a math phobia and can recall a traumatic event from their past.

  • People who were discouraged from doing math because of speed-related activities (multiplication facts, for example) or having to answer a question on the spot.

  • People who got a low grade on a tests or quiz that looked for a narrow set of decontextualized memorized facts.

  • People who think math is a disconnected subject that seems cold and abstract.

We invite you to find mathematical wholeness with us.
